Highly Recommended : November 2011

Welcome to my occasional series of recommendations.  Here are my star items for November 2011 from the gifts and samples I have been sent this month and some personal recommendations too.

have the most gorgeous play tents in stock and this box of wooden poles and pretty pink fabric has been turned into the most magical Fairy Princess Play Tent.  Sorry about using the stock photo but we had to erect over at Rachel's house so that the grandchildren can use it in their bedroom over winter.  It's plenty big enough for them both to play in with loads of opportunities for them to create their own fairy tale games and a great place to store their toys at the end of the day.

This playhouse is priced at £74.99 with a £4.95 delivery charge for orders under £150.00

Floriane Dress 'Pink Dot'
Floriane Dress 'Flower'
sent me two dresses for the girls from the Swedish brand 'More Stories' in their Kids department.  They are so traditionally beautiful they make me want to weep with joy.  They have been earmarked as their Christmas Day outfit so they are going to look gorgeous!

Each dress retails at £26.95 and currently comes with a free pair of 'Frogpants Leggings' - more details on the order pages.

Wii uDraw Game Tablet
(also now available on the Playstation 2 and the XBox 360)
has been the game of the moment on the games consoles this month.  I had already given you a bit of a teaser on my Facebook page about this and I'm hoping to be able to run a competition to win one before Christmas.  We have been playing with the uDraw Studio (a little bit clunky to start with but once you get used to the 'pencil' then it's great) and Pictionary (which is going to be a brilliant family game to play on Boxing Day)

The uDraw console with uDraw Studio has a RRP of £59.99 and Pictionary for the uDraw console as a separate game has a RRP of £34.99 (without the uDraw console included)

Here are some little snaps I took from magazines of items that are on my 'wish list'.
Cute little chintzy things that just look very girlie and gorgeous

From left to right:
A teapot-shaped recycled plastic watering can - £8.00 (seen in Marie Claire)
Teacup shaped notelets - £8.00 (seen in a Saturday newspaper magazine in our local cafe)
A French sewing case - £34.00 (seen in Marie Claire)

sent me some blue lights for our Christmas tree even though the lovely Susan promised she'd ask for anything that wasn't blue for me after my "STOP FLASHING" blog post from last December.  I tried... I really did... to like these but they've been relegated to the Christmas tree in the other lounge (yes, we have two).  They do look very pretty though.

have some lovely bracelets on their website that are very reasonably priced at £12.99.

I'd suggest these would be great for a Secret Santa gift or a present for a 'have no idea what to buy her' teenage girl.
There's also a discount code on the website for 10% your order

And finally, I had a bit of a splurge at Superdrug today and bought some fabulously massive sponge eyeshadow applicators, purple emery boards and cuticle file sticks, some black liquid liner for those all important on-trend panda eyes and new eyeshadow because I seem to have run out of brown which almost never happens!!
